Look no further than the forever budget-friendly Forever 21. They have a bunch of "trophy jackets" for well under $50! Just take a look at their gorgeous black studded trench coat for only $42.80. (The khaki version works, too!)
Other favorites: BCX's sateen trench, ASOS' swing coat and Silence & Noise's sequined cardigan.
If you have a little more cash, check out London's fabulous Topshop, where style icons like Kate Moss have lent their savvy in recent years. The coats there are so fabulous they're more than a good investment. I love the bow satin coat by Yuki, which will set you back all of $240. It's a style keeper for not just this season but probably well into the next five or so.
Otherwise, cover up, and cover your budget, too.

In fact, when we first saw it, we didn't think "dude" at all, but rather a Mad Men-style clutch accessory. And if you need a strap but don't want to buy yet another purse, Etsy has that covered, too: Check out Janine King's designs for some truly pretty iPad sleeves with adjustable shoulder straps.
