Tavi styles her first editorial, Lilo’s courthouse costume changes and there’s a new no-pants in town | Hollywood yohana

Good things come to those who blog. Tavi Gevinson just got her first styling gig–a 10-page editorial for the September issue of BlackBook
Lindsay Lohan updated her outfit three times during her day in court. Does she expect the judge to reevaluate her sentence due to her ability to accessorize?
Why does the Alexander McQueen tribute book cost $295? Apparently, its embedded with real wild flowers, the pages are made of seeded paper and the box is coated in a metallic brocade from McQueen’s spring/summer 2010 show.
Long sheer skirts are apparently the new no-pants. Were we looking for a replacement?
An archive of Valentino’s work has just been unveilled. The exhibit, at the Chateau de Wideville in France includes over 200 sketches from 1959 to the 2000s and iPads showing the designer at work. How very 2010.
Rhianna‘s outfit at a recent gig a resembles flotation device. Perhaps she’s trying to find something that Lady Gaga hasn’t done yet?
For its sexy body issue, V Magazine is featuring five different covers (cover girls include Adriana Lima and Lily Donaldson) with a strategically placed “V” that can be scratched off to reveal their naughty parts underneath. Subtle.
Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant has designed a 20-piece line for QVC. There are cardigans, faux-snow leopard capes, pillbox hats and other items you would expect from a designer for a show set in the early ’60s.

What we loved at New York fashion week | Hollywood yohana

MICHAEL KORS SPRING 2011

FAVOURITE…PARTY:
The reopening of Chanel’s SoHo store. The guest list included S.J.P., Liv Tyler, Jessica Stam, Blake Lively, DJ/It girl Alexa Chung and the man of the hour, Karl Lagerfeld. Guests channelled their inner Basquiat by grabbing a canister of Chanel-branded infrared spray paint from one of the handsome cater waiters and unleashing on the digital graffiti wall.
MY FAVOURITE…SHOW:
Michael Kors’ sunshine state of mind. I can’t get enough of his cool-as-a-cucumber crinkled linens, tissue cashmeres and hand smocking.
