Glam Fairy's Sharie Gives Her Two Cents on 2Divine, Alexa's Boyfriend Drama & the Surprise Jingle! Mon., Dec. 12, 2011 1:00 PM PST by Sharie Manon Glam Fairy, Shari Hair fairy Sharie Manon is always a voice of reason on Style's new hit show Glam Fairy. In this episode recap, she dishes on Briella's absurd foray into songwriting, Alexa's boy drama and 2Divine's image overhaul. BRIELLA...THE SONGWRITING FAIRY?: She doesn't know what she wants to do! Taylor Swift can probably teach Briella a thing or two about rhyming. Her delivery is a little too simple; a little to matchy-matchy. Briella, please don't sing ever again. Wow! She needs to pay attention to the person who is sitting at her chair in front of her and not be so swayed by everything that's going on around her. CAUGHT RED-HANDED: Seeing Alexa catch Briella and Jessica soliciting 2Divine wasn't really awkward for me because I have come to expect, generally, the unprofessional from those two. Just because one says something is a good idea, the other one still needs to use her brain! I hope they understand that Alexa was serious. Alexa is a motivated and driven business woman. She's not going to deal with their nonsense. Mon., Dec. 12, 2011 9:00 AM PST by Danielle Datu Creations By Ginger As much as I love for my boyfriend's 1-year-old pitbull, Hawk, to curl up next to me to keep warm, the recent fuh-reezing temps have really made me feel for the sweet pup. I decided I wanted to get him a sweater. Since the large pet supply retailers only sell clothes for tiny dogs (I'm not bitter), I took my quest to the Internet. After Googling "pitbull sweaters," I immediately stumbled upon Creations By Ginger, a mom-and-pop site that offers custom polar fleece long johns, sweaters and vests ($25-$30) for pitbulls. The owner is Ginger Davis, a mother of two and grandmother to four with pits of her own. I knew I had found what I had been looking for. The various solid and printed designs skewed cool and not cutesy (didn't want Hawk to look like a pampered baby—even though he so is!). And since Ginger was a pit owner, I was certain I was in good hands. It's just always better dealing with someone who has an affection for the misunderstood breed. I also loved that the garments are customized to your canine's exact measurements, which meant that Hawk would be toasty in his new fitted gear. This week, we turned to the fabulous Eva Rajwans, the owner and founder of DIGS ("Done In Great Style"), who is inspired by European sophistication and timeless elegance at affordable prices. Who better to ask about styling the très chic but sometimes intimidating cape? "I love to wear a cape with a lightweight leather jacket underneath. The leather sleeve peeking out updates the classic and elegant shape. Capes are flattering on most body types and look best when paired with form-fitting bottoms, like a pair of skinny jeans or leggings and with knee high boots."—Eva Rajwans To get new tips every day, follow mystylequicktip on Twitter. Taylor Momsen It's clear she is walking. Maybe to a Tim Burton casting call? I don't know. The boots are just fantastic. This look really highlights Taylor's clear—and when I say clear I mean transparent—skin. Isn't it amazing that a person who seemingly eats so little has such healthy long hair? I see she was going for a sexy '60s vibe with the chalky smokey eye, the cut of the dress, blah blah, but that Bunny Ranch synthetic weave, wan complexion and willowy frame look more like a Feed the Children commercial. From the pineapple updo to the pearls, Ashley's interpretation of Audrey's character in Breakfast at Tiffany's was a bit more literal than Christina's. However, she didn't actually wear a little black dress. Instead, the young actress created the illusion of an LBD by pairing a fitted black blouse with a slim dark charcoal pencil skirt. >>>HISTORY: Salute to the Little Black Dress The star of the show stayed true to Audrey with an LBD. But its structured high neck didn't allow for a necklace. She also wore a slighlty bumped hairstyle. Both ladies rocked short gloves since their garments had sleeves. At the event, the babes not only helped out a good cause, but looked stylish doing so. Kristen Bell and Brooklyn Decker channeled their inner Grecian goddess. While the Burlesque star wore a more literal white Christian Dior one-shoulder number, Brooklyn opted for a mint green Tory Burch gown, which she paired with bright orange Jimmy Choo peep-toe pumps. >>>SHOP: Fabulous finds that help out a cause On a more classic note, Glee's Jayma Mays went for a black-and-white Kova & T dress that was conservative from the front, but had an unexpected sexy deep V-back. Brown/Getty Images; John Sciulli/Getty Images Sarah Jessica Parker Blacks Out Fri., Dec. 9, 2011 2:00 PM PST by Emily Krauser Sarah Jessica Parker Once upon a time, there was a lovely actress named Sarah Jessica Parker. She always made us smile with her frilly frocks in pastel hues and mile-high Manolos. In fact, our princess was such a successful fashion risk-taker (who else can pull off two shades of neon, sleeveless trench coats and plaid-embellished tulle?), that we even forgave her for constantly recycling her beloved pointy white heels. This is why we were shocked that she threw a curveball into our fairytale and showed up to not one, not two, but four New York City events this week wearing head-to-toe black. First, she turned up to a preview of Elizabeth Taylor's jewelry collection at Christie's wearing a strapless LBD with a ruffled silk hem. She then uped to the ante for the Kennedy Center Honors in a shiny, sculptured Theyskens' Theory gown that had major volume to match her slicked-back updo. However, last night at the In the Land of Blood and Honey premiere in L.A, the mother-of-six looked exceptionally ravishing in a navy blue gown by Romona Keveza. Shout Out, Mystyle Blog Inset graphics While the dress was simple, which is something that is very much her style, there was something about the outfit that just made our jaws drop. >>>TRACK: Angie's fashion evolution Perhaps, it's the asymmetrical structure of the number or the way she managed to team the dress with delicate stud earrings and nude Jimmy Choo peep-toe pumps—and nothing else! But what we think made the whole look spectacular was her teased up, swept-back hairdo, which manages to give all the attention to her flawless face. And since the rest of the look was simple, Angelina was able to have fun with her makeup. So she sported a smoky eye that accentuated her pretty green peepers and a natural glossy lip. All and all, it was another fabulous red carpet moment for the actress. >>>PHOTOS: Style Shout-Out * Kendall Jenner * Fergie * Jennifer Hudson * Charlize Theron * Sandra Bullock * Sofia Vergara * Scarlett Johansson * Miley Cyrus * * * * Email * Print * Share * Link * Add your comment Categories: Romona Keveza , celebrity fashion photos , fashion and style , jimmy choo , angelina jolie , style shout-out , celebrity fashion , Fashion , dress , fashion galleries Photo by: Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic Adorn Your Toes With Bow-Bedecked Kicks Fri., Dec. 9, 2011 12:00 PM PST by Daisy Becerra Emma Stone, Olivia Palermo, Chelsea Handler Au Courant, Mystyle Blog Inset graphics TREND: Nude bow-detail shoes WHO'S WEARING IT: Chelsea Handler, Emma Stone (Christian Dior) and Olivia Palermo (Mulberry) HOW TO WEAR IT: This holiday season, you can be festive by wearing bow-detailed shoes. And ones in a nude color won't only be timeless, but they will also match with everything in your closet. For a classic approach, pick a design with one large bow on the front à la Olivia. Go more sophisticated by taking a cue from Chelsea, who opted for a pair with a small bow to the side. Now, if you want to go a little edgier, look to Emma. While the hot mama always sports look-at-me ensembles on the red carpet, the Hart of Dixie star is the Queen of street style. And last week, their fashion paths finally crossed when Miranda wore the same Louis Vuitton tea-length dress Rachel had already worn. The actress donned the ladylike frock for the 2010 Met Gala. She chose to stick with a gray belt that didn't cut off her torso, which was a smart move by the petite gal. Strappy black heels, a matching clutch and a wavy side-swept 'do completed her vintage-inspired ensemble. >>>MORE: Ladies love wearing Louis Vuitton On the other hand, the supermodel made the retro-style dress feel little more modern. Instead of a gray belt, the babe opted for a black one, which matched perfectly with her peep-toe pumps and clutch. And unlike Bilson, Miranda wore a bold red lips and sported her hair in a chic ponytail. This might be one of the toughest choices in the history of showdowns, but, by a red pout, we give this victory to mama Miranda. >>>VOTE: Style Showdown: Who Scores? * Kylie Jenner, Taylor Swift * Ashley Tisdale, Kristin Cavallari * Miranda Kerr, Rachel Bilson * Amanda Seyfried, Amber Heard * Hailee Steinfeld, Chloe Sevigny * Emma Stone, Kimberly Perry * Eva Longoria, Victoria Beckham * Kourtney Kardashian, Natalie Portman * * * * Email * Print * Share * Link * Add your comment Categories: fashion and style , celebrity fashion , dresses , louis vuitton , fashion galleries , Miranda Kerr , style showdown , Fashion , rachel bilson , celebrity fashion photos Photo by: Ryan Pierse/Getty Images; Bryan Bedder/WireImage for Vogue Which Movie Star Got Strangled By Her Dress? Thu., Dec. 8, 2011 4:00 PM PST by Daisy Becerra DUI This redhead loves Lanvin, but his designs don't always love her back. Case in point: The black velvet dress with nude, billowing, sheer sleeves that she wore to the Pirelli Calendar gala in NYC. Look closely and you'll see how the turtleneck is attached to the left arm. Think she could even move well? Even though a great pair of shoes might have salvaged the outfit, her bronze chain-adorned sandals looked like a DIY project! The babe obviously needs a helping arm hand when it comes to fashion. Now, if you didn't already guess who the actress is, after you see the picture, we bet you'll be saying, "This is so (insert name of celeb)." So who is she? Who says you have to wear pastel pink to look like a pretty ballerina? Not Emma Watson!
The British beauty is the current face of Lancôme, and she did them proud when she attended a press conference for the brand in Hong Kong in a midnight blue Elie Saab dress that any tiny dancer would have been proud to wear.
Tulle can often come off like a costume, but this knee-length frock had perfection written all over it. The sheer backless bodice and sweetheart neckline kept the embellished mini from looking too cutesy, and the floral velvet waistline played up the feminine feel while showing off Emma's enviable curves.
The Harry Potter star kept the rest of her accessories complimentary and simple, opting for just an Erickson Beamon cocktail ring and silver Jimmy Choos to finish off her ensemble. Slicked back hair and bold red lips added to the ballerina vibe. Black Swan, who?
