Celebs' Fall Purse Trend Is Out of the (Velvet) Bag! | yohana

Ashley Tisdale, Nicole Richie
TREND: Velvet handbags

WHO'S WEARING IT: Nicole Richie (House of Harlow 1960) and Ashley Tisdale (Something Else)
HOW TO WEAR IT: One of our favorite fabrics during the chilly months is velvet. However, if you don't like wearing the material, the best way to rock the current trend is through accessories—a purse would be ideal. Choosing a black handbag may seem like the easiest, safest approach, but you can easily wear dark jewel tones with practically anything. Ashley rocked her wine-colored bag with a multicolored dress that had hues similar to the bag. Or, you can do the opposite and use your purse to add a pop of color to a neutral ensemble, like Nicole's green version. Now, if you are super daring, take a cue from the queen of boho and rock a velvet dress with your new go-to handbag.

Lanvin Brings Fallen Angels to Paris Fashion Week | yohana

Miranda Kerr, Lanvin Model
Julianne Moore
Paris Fashion Week continued over the weekend and one show that  brought celebs together was Lanvin's spring 2012 collection. Rachel Zoe, of course, was in attendance and Julianne Moore, who hasn't been hitting any fashion shows, made a special stop for the French fashion house.

The actress sat front row wearing a navy knee-length dress, which she paired with a black belt and on-trend white round sunnies. This babe has a classic style, but every now and then she pushes the (fashion) envelope. We still can't get over the Reed Krakoff furry stilettos she wore during last year's fashion week.
The red-haired gal enjoyed a presentation by Lanvin that contained beautiful draped dresses, but also had plenty of separates. The inspiration behind the collection was edgy angels, so it was perfectly fitting that Victoria's Secret angel Miranda Kerr walked down the catwalk. Like her ensemble, many of the models wore exaggerated shoulder tops paired with pencil skirts. Jewelry made a big impact this day, winged necklaces and coiled snakes were wrapped around the models' collar. The colors were limited to black, gray, white, but a dusty rose hue also made an appearance.

Jessica Lowndes | yohana

Jessica Lowndes
The 90210 star gave us more dish on her personal style during Teen Vogue's 9th Annual Young Hollywood Party.
WHAT SHE'S STYLIN': I'm wearing a Camilla & Marc dress. I love this dress because of the polkadots and the whole corset thing. I've also got on Giuseppe Zanotti peep-toes and David Yurman earrings, ring and bracelet.
TWIST AND CHIC: I styled in a milkmaid braid because I wanted something feminine, off-the-face and different.
BEAUTY FAVES: Maybelline has an amazing mascara. I love L'Oréal's Infallible lipstick, which stays on forever!
TRANSITIONING INTO FALL: I am really liking maxiskirts. I've been taking that from spring and into fall with a sweater. I've been rocking that look a lot lately. I'm loving the bright color contrast for fall, too. It's scary, but it's fun.

Which House Star Shopped the Home Décor Section for This Dated Look? | yohana

DUI Reveler
This rising star decided to go back in time, and we mean way back in time, when she chose to wear this 1940s-inspired red doily dress for a night on the town during Paris fashion week. The frock's unflattering silhouette and abundant material did nothing for the video game goddess. Let's just hope the brunette actress is big on recycling, because this fashion flop belongs on the coffee table—at dear ol' granny's house!

Louis Vuitton Takes Us for a Spin on a Merry-Go Round | yohana

Kate Moss
Olivia Wilde
Today is the last day of Paris Fashion Week, which means all the celebs will soon be heading back home to the States. But, one stop they needed to make before hitting the airport was the Louis Vuitton fashion show. The front row was packed with the hottest fashionistas: Nicole Richie, Uma Thurman, Abbie Cornish, Olivia Wilde, Rachel Zoe, Anna Wintour and Alexa Chung.

But the one A-lister that particularly caught our attention was Miss Wilde. We absolutely adored her black-and-white tweed trench coach. And whoever made up the rule not to mix navy and black must be ashamed after seeing how the actress paired her blue Peter Pan-collared dress with the dark hue. The gal finished off her look with black platforms, crisp white clutch and her new trademark, blunt bangs.
As she sat aside fellow fashion lovers, they were in for a gorgeous presentation. Models actually came off an all-white carousel and rocked pastel eyelet dresses and skirts. And some were covered in ombré feathers and others in sheer organza fabric. Another major component was big lace collars and tweed coats. Needless to say, the spring 2012 collection was ultra feminine and candy-colored—think: mint green, pale yellow and cotton candy-pink. Of course, the runway couldn't have been complete without the lovely Kate Moss finishing off the show by walking in a head-to-toe white ensemble. And that's it for fashions week, ladies—at least until, next season!

Stand Out From the Crowd in a Multi-Print Dress | yohana

Keira Knightley, Leelee Sobieski, Hailee Steinfeld, Alexa Chung
TREND: Multi-print dresses

WHO'S WEARING IT: Keira Knightley (Mary Katrantzou), Leelee Sobieski (Mary Katrantzou), Hailee Steinfeld (Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti) and Alexa Chung (Mary Katrantzou)
HOW TO WEAR IT: While multi-print dressed can be extremely gorgeous, they can also be very tricky to wear. The easiest (and safest) way to sport the frock is with a pair of nude heels à la Keira. If the design has hints of black, then dark-toned pumps will do the trick. But, it's important not choose strappy shoes, like Alexa's. Want an edgier look? Then, take inspiration from Leelee, who matched her peplum version with olive lace-up booties. The reason they work is because they hit right at the ankle, unlike Hailee's mid-calf pair. However, follow the teenager's lead and play with the colors on the dress and match it with your clutch—you won't need any jewelry. And if you want to don the dress for a daytime outing, team it with a casual denim jacket. Now, to rock the trend everyday, opt for a shirt instead!

Fashion Déjà Vu: Fergie's Fetish for Neon Accessories Returns | yohana

Fergie
Fergie
The best way to pop an LBD is through your accessories. Fergie's preferred accessories just so happen to be neon. Would you expect anything less from the high-energy rock star?! Back in the summer, Mrs. Josh Duhamel attended a birthday bash in NYC wearing a simple sheath with a fluorescent yellow cuff and peep-toes, hot pink-accented clutch and bright orange nail polish. Then, at a Black Eyed Peas after-party recently (also in the Big Apple), the singer repeated the look with a Calvin Klein dress, lime pointy pumps and orange Jill Sander clutch.

Mama-To-Be Hilary Duff Bumps Up Her Style in Isabel Marant | yohana

Hilary Duff
Hilary Duff was out and about early this morning in NYC to attend the Good Morning America show to promote her second book Devoted. This actress-turned-singer-turned-writer looked incredibly chic and put together—at first, we forgot the gal was preggers!
For her appearance, she rocked a navy printed Isabel Marant dress with a ruffled bottom that hid her baby bump. A seasonally appropriate orange Vanessa Bruno blazer was then plopped over the frock. And instead of opting for predictable nude heels, she paired her ensemble with equally versatile gray Yves Saint Laurent pumps.

Then, the mom-to-be added a statement cuff on one arm. She balanced off the bling, by wearing a simple Cartier bracelet on the other hand with her lust-worthy engagement ring.

Her long blond locks and naturally glowing face completed the outfit. There's no about it; little Lizzie McGuire is all grown up.

Leather Turns Rust-Colored for Fall | yohana

Evan Rachel Wood, Sophia Bush, Olivia Palermo, Corinne Bailey Rae
TREND: Rust-hued leather

WHO'S WEARING IT: Evan Rachel Wood (Gucci), Sophia Bush (Tibi), Olivia Palermo (Tibi) and Corinne Bailey Rae
HOW TO WEAR IT: Lately, colored leather has been a huge trend—we saw everything from bright yellow to pastel pink. However, now that its fall celebs have been edging up their ensembles with a warmer shade. When matching a rust-hued piece gravitate towards lighter colors, like Olivia's white top. Pairing the reddish number with a black or gray top will make you look gloomy. Now, if you love wearing prints, a leopard pattern will work wonders with the shade. And for an unexpected touch, pair the bottoms with bright shoes à la Corinne. Feeling daring? Rock the trend in the form of a dress, but take Sophia's lead and keep rest of the ensemble simple. It's a gumshoe's mistake to wear the shade from head-to-toe like Evan. After all, you don't want to look like Carmen Sandiego!

David Meister | yohana

Emmanuelle Chriqui, David Meister
Esteemed designer David Meister (shown with actress Emmanuelle Chriqui at this year's CFDA Fashion Awards) will be honored at the first annual Designs for the Cure Gala on October 28. The star-studded event, which will feature live music, cocktail reception, dinner and a live and silent auction, will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The creative genius chatted with us to discuss the fundraiser, empowering women, his experience with dressing Jane Lynch for the Emmys and much more.
SUPPORTING THE CAUSE: I have been involved with Susan G. Komen for the Cure as one of the Pink Tie Guys for over a year and a half. I have a very good friend who had breast cancer and is a survivor. My mom has had several friends who've had it. Breast cancer is a disease that doesn't just affect women. I feel close to it.
PINK CARPET MAGIC: This is the first time the Los Angeles branch has done a big Designs for the Cure Gala. It will be a great night. We are going to raise awareness. We are going to raise funds. We're bringing the world of design, cancer survivors and celebrities together. I will dress five or six survivors in signature gowns from my fall and holiday collections that I did for Bergdorf. Guests can bid on those gowns that night.
FASHION THERAPY: It's about you feeling good. I know people who have lost their hair, but they don't want to wear a wig. So, put on your makeup and great jewelry and go bald! If people are not comfortable with that, that's their problem. You're the one fighting the disease. Some people love to dress up and that makes them feel good. In that case, I say dress up and knock their socks off!
ON HIS GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: Still having a strong business 13 years later! Fashion is not an easy business, especially with the economy being the way it is. We're really having the best year we have ever had.
DESIGN APPROACH: I don't design for a specific woman. I try to think in terms of dresses that will look great on a lot of women. It's about designs that have a sense of classicness and timelessness to it. You can pull out one of my dresses from the closet in three or four years and it still looks beautiful. That's what I always try to achieve.

Jane Lynch
HAUTE HOLIDAYS: We're seeing a lot of metallics, a lot of sequins and shine. Some people are very glitzy and others are more matte. There are different levels of what women are comfortable in. I always tell women to take something that they think they can't wear or won't look good in into a dressing room. A lot of the times, these women tend to put themselves in a box. They think they only look good in certain styles and colors. Sometimes, that's true. But other times, women just limit themselves too much. By trying something different, I always say, "Worst case scenario is it'll look horrible and you're going to have a good laugh, but you're in a dressing room by yourself. Best case scenario is you love it and realize that it can work, and you're able to expand your box a little."
EMMYS EXTRAVAGANZA: I've always been a fan of Jane Lynch. She's just the nicest, most down-to-earth, easiest person to collaborate with. She was open to almost anything. She kept changing, but I personally loved the simple aubergine chiffon gown she wore on the red carpet, because it was a little softer and unexpected.
DREAM CELEBRITY CLIENT: I'm dying to dress Angelina Jolie! She wears black a lot and every once and awhile she throws in something that's off—and I think that's when she really has that "wow" moment. I would put her in a bright green or bright orange dress. It's all about simple shapes and strong color. That's all she needs.
To purchase a ticket for the Designs for the Cure Gala, click here. In addition to hosting the event, David Meister will donate a percentage of the sales from his website to Susan G. Komen for the Cure in the month of October!

Selena Gomez Hits the Pumpkin Patch in Teen-Tastic Style | yohana

Selena Gomez
It seems Selena Gomez wants to be extra prepared for a bewitching Halloween Night with the Biebs. The fright night is still almost three weeks away, and the Disney babe is already picking out her pumpkin selection. But can we blame her for jumping the gun? Think of all the adorable couples costumes the teen lovebirds could wear!

The rising star looked like quite the Teen Queen for her stop at the pumpkin patch in Moorpark, Calif. From the pink and purple highlights to the flamingo print top to the cupcake lace skirt, the singer was making quite a sartorial statement. We might start to worry about a style regression, if we didn't know the pop star was in costume for filming her latest music video "Hit the Lights."
Most of us would opt for something more casual to hunt down the perfect gourd, but then again most of us aren't worldwide teen sensations. See what other celebs decided was the perfect garb to hit up the pumpkin farm in our latest gallery!

Sorry, Zoe! Hilary Passes the (Pregnancy) Style Test | yohana

Hilary Duff, Zoe Saldana
The tribal trend made a big impact on Tinseltown hotties—they seriously can't get enough of it (and neither can we)! The next victims who fell head-over-heels for the Navajo print were Zoe Saldana and Hilary Duff, who wore the same Isabel Marant dress.
The Colombiana star was the first to rock the frock at the Coach Benefit for the Children's Defense Fund in Santa Monica, Calif. Back in April, the gal paired her navy design with ankle-strap Alexander McQueen heels. The fashionista knows that a gal's outfit isn't complete without accessories, so she opted for a purple snakeskin Coach clutch and Kara Ackerman drop earrings.

The mama-to-be wore the Aztec-inspired number earlier this week to the Good Morning America in NYC. Since she was promoting her book, she dressed to the nines by teaming the piece with an orange Vanessa Bruno blazer and gray Yves Saint Laurent pumps. A large silver cuff on her left arm even added to the tribal feel.
Even though Hilary was the second to wear it, her chic blazer made her our champ. Do you agree?

It’s a Pirate’s Life for Sandra Bullock and Son Louis | yohana

Sandra Bullock, Louis Bardo

Halloween is one of the children's favorite holidays. Not only do they get to munch on candy, but they get to dress up as their favorite characters, too. And if you are lucky, perhaps they'll let you match their theme, like Sandra Bullock did earlier this week.
The actress took her baby boy, Louis Bardo, to a pirate-themed birthday bash in Brentwood, Calif. There the mama simply wore an oversized pirate hat, denims and black top. But the li'l man was decked in a full-on costume. He wore a white blouse, striped pants and a skull-print bandana. His ensemble was completed with a pair of comfy brown boots.

We particularly love the treasure chest goody bag Louis received at the party because it can work as an alternative way of carrying all the bounty candy on Halloween.
Take inspiration from this matey's ensemble for your little one's All Hallows' Eve costume. Don't think your tot would approve? Fret not, more famous youngster's show you how to look adorable in anything from a ladybug to a skeleton!

Stacy Keibler & George Clooney Make Their Red Carpet Debut | yohana

Stacy Keibler, George Clooney
Hitting red carpet events is one thing, but attending them arm-in-arm with George Clooney is a whole other story. One lucky gal who had the pleasure of living every girl's dream, at the NYC premiere of The Descendants, was Stacy Keibler.

At their first official appearance as a couple, the hunk's leading lady looked flawless in an all-black, skintight Versace number. But this was no ordinary black dress; the sexy knit gown had a see-though bodice and an up-to-there thigh-high slit. The blonde added Stephen Webster jewelry to give her ensemble the right amount of sparkle. Needless to say, we bet Mr. Clooney was proud to have her by his side.

The always dapper man also decided to wear dark colors. George paired his gray suit with a navy tie, white button-down and black loafers. This leggy babe and classic stud make a stunning duo.

Who Broke the Bank? Elizabeth Hurley or Amy Smart? | yohana

Elizabeth Hurley, Amy Smart
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we have Elizabeth Hurley and Amy Smart representing in none other than shades of the iconic ribbon. The actresses looked absolutely stunning in their pink designs, which showed off their feminine and fun personalities.
Amy wore her raspberry Hervé Léger minidress first at the world premiere of Resident Evil: Extinction in Las Vegas back in 2007. She paired the body-hugger with gold strappy sandals, bangles and a gold clutch.
Just last month, Elizabeth stepped out in her Michael Kors hot pink number at an Estée Lauder BCA event in London. The English beauty skipped the accessories, and paired the perfectly fitted dress with nude peep-toes

Show Off Your Sexy Side-Ruched Dress | yohana

Vanessa Hudgens, Lea Michele
TREND: Side-ruched dress
WHO'S WEARING IT: Lea Michele (Alexander Wang), Vanessa Hudgens and Renée Zellweger (Carolina Herrera)
HOW TO WEAR IT: A ruched dress is practically a must in any woman's closet. Now, a side-ruched dress is sexy spin on the original, especially on a nude frock. Whether the detail is on the hip, or by the unexpected lower leg, like Lea, it has a certain je ne sais quoi feel to it. If you dress conservatively, pick a frock similar to Renée. The longer sleeves give it a sophisticated feel, which make this a great piece for the office. Want something trendier? Look no further than the PYT Vanessa. She went for a velvet number with thick straps. As for the perfect pair of pumps, elongate your legs by wearing a matching nude heel—especially if your dress hits below-the-knee. For something sassier, add a pop of color to your toes with a vibrant shoe, like the Glee gal's cobalt pick.

Minnie Mouse Is Ravishing in Red Vivienne Tam Dress | yohana

Minnie Mouse, Lara Spencer
Who knew Minnie Mouse was such a budding fashionista?
Posting with fellow celebs like Lara Spencer, Mickey's leading lady made a bold apperance at the Fashion Delivers 6th Annual Gala at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City when she hit the polka dot carpet in a custom-made Vivienne Tam dress!

The adorable cherry blossom red frock with a bouquet-like bottom and matching bold shoes was the perfect pick for the bubbly Disney darling. "I've loved Minnie Mouse since I was a little girl," Vivienne told mystyle. "She was always giving me happy moments. Minnie is a showstopper. Just look at her—she is still making me smile!"
She's making us smile too! Not only that, Minnie and Lara even matched. How adorable is that? As if a favorite childhood icon wasn't inpsiring enough to begin with, now she's made us want to start our holiday dress shopping early!

Meryl Streep Keeps the Cleopatra-Inspired Necklace Trend Alive! | yohana

Meryl Streep
Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Whitney Port
Meryl Streep sported a very on-trend piece to the London premiere of The Iron Lady—a Cleopatra-inspired necklace. But unlike Kourtney and Kim Kardashian's choker, her bauble wasn't as literal because it hung lower on the neck. The actress's version was also made up of different gold chains, which made it feel like a precious vintage find. She smartly kept her locks out of her face, making the necklace the focal point of her ensemble.

Test Your Fashion Sense with an Inkblot Dress | yohana

Hayden Panettiere, Lucy Hale, Anna Farris
TREND: Rorschach inkblot dresses
WHO'S WEARING IT: Hayden Panettiere (Tibi), Lucy Hale (Izmaylova) and Anna Faris (Preen)
HOW TO WEAR IT: Psychology just got a little bit sexier! Lately, the pretty patterns from the famous personality tests from the ‘60s have been turning up on the red carpet courtesy of our favorite PYT's. All three lovely ladies nailed the inkblot frock, which is no wonder considering the busy print needs only the simplest styling. Take a cue from the Hollywood honeys and match monochromatic footwear to a hue in your dress. We personally prefer peep-toes like Hayden and Anna's to keep the flirty vibe going. While Lucy's booties are edgier, they cut off her leg, making her appear shorter. If you don't want to make a full commitment to the trend with an expensive dress, don't worry! You can try out a t-shirt version first to see if the inkblot suits your style psyche.

Camille Grammer | yohana

Camille Grammer
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star let us in on her personal style during GBK's Golden Globes gift lounge at the L'Emirtage in Beverly Hills, where she walked away with goodies from Adult Chocolate Milk, essie, Sandra Brooks Collection and The Artisan Group.
WHO SHE'S STYLIN': I'm wearing Helmut Lang. I've been wearing a lot of his clothes. On the show, I wear a lot of Fendi, and I love Chanel and Lanvin.
FASHION PHILOSOPHY: I will follow the trends, but I won't wear anything that doesn't look good on me. I like stuff that's casual. When you feel comfortable, you feel good about yourself.
STYLE ICON: I look at Breakfast at Tiffany's, and I love Audrey Hepburn's style sense. She's my fashion icon.
BEAUTY BAG: I really like Armani's makeup. Their foundations are fantastic. For skin care, I use Epicuren.
SELF-STYLED: These are my own earrings from my line, AMOREphosis. It means love transformed. It's me and my girlfriend Tricia Small Stabile—she and her husband, Handsome Nick, were on the show with me last year—and Nina Segal, whose father is Fred Segal. We got together and formed this a little over two years ago.
GIVING BACK: Our signature collection is very nice because it's inspirational. We give most of our proceeds to two charities, The Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund and Blessings in a Backpack. They give kids a backpack on Fridays so they can have lunch during the weekends. My New York friends are always saying that we do so much work for kids overseas, but we really need to take care of our kids at home, so that was what drove us to do this. We all love creating and inspiring, and I love jewelry—I used to make my own stuff for gifts.

The Kardashians Cowboy Up for Mason’s 2nd Birthday | yohana

Mason Disick, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, 2nd Birthday Party
The Kardashians know how to throw one heck of a party, and for Mason Disick's 2nd birthday on Decemeber 14th the reality TV clan pulled out all the stops. The posh family traded in their pumps for cowboy boots as they recreated a scene out of the Wild Wild West to mark the youngest Kardashian's birthday. Proud grandma and grandpa, Kris and Bruce Jenner, hosted the bash complete with pony rides, a petting zoo and arts and crafts at their Hidden Hills, Calif. home.

Mason's aunties, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, got into the spirit by donning their best cowboy staples in matching hats and boots, plaid tops and denim. Meanwhile, the little boy's mom and grandma, Kourtney and Kris, played the arch rivals in brightly colored feather headdresses. Notice how his mommy strategically wore a loose-fitting cream sweater to hide her growing baby bump. This time next year, Mason will be ringing in his third birthday with a new sibling!

Taylor Swift Plays the Girl Next Door in a Toggle Coat | yohana

Taylor Swift
This is exactly why we love Taylor Swift. The country crooner can completely transform into a ‘70s supermodel for her Vogue cover shoot, and then a few days later kick it around London looking like a girl who could be your best friend. After all, nothing says "normal girl" like a toggle jacket.

Our theory is Taylor uses the collegiate coat as her secret weapon for blending in. Case in point: we've caught the blonde beauty wearing at least three different versions! There's no debating, the all-American style is quintessentially unassuming, just like Taylor. And as for the rest of her outfit? Surprise! It's just as laid back.

Dark wash skinny jeans were complimented by two-tone oxfords and an understated brown purse. You won't see a blinged out "It" bag on this girl's arm! The singer kept the bangs from her photo shoot and pulled back her tresses for a fuss-free ‘do. Her beauty routine was kept minimal with just a swipe of pink lip gloss.

Haylie Duff | yohana

Haylie Duff
The actress and auntie-to-be (her sis, Hilary Duff, is due to give birth to a boy in March), gave us a peek at her personal style at the Wella Beauty Bar, held at the Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood. During the day of pampering, VIPs indulged in braids and blowouts, Fake Bake spray tan, manicures and Bio-Oil hand massages.
WHAT SHE'S STYLIN': Today, I'm wearing Rag & Bone jeans, Helmut Lang top and Elie Tahari ankle boots.
FASHION PHILOSOPHY: Simple and easy. I'm kind of lazy most of the time. I found these pants and I had no idea what to wear them with. I mismatch a lot of things. I don't follow too many trends. I go with what feels good. Most of the stuff I wear is stuff I've had in my closet for a while. I like to be causal. I like to be comfortable. I try go completely contradictory to what I'm wearing today. Normally, I go really classic. I love a good white shirt.
WATCH OUT!: I love to wear a great watch—that's my favorite thing to wear right now. I have Cartier's "Tank" men's watch that I like to wear. I've had it since my 17th birthday. I still think it's such a classic. It's a square face.  But I love Michael Kors watches. They're so easy. They have a rose gold that's beautiful. They make a great watch that's a little more affordable. It's great! I love it a lot.
RED CARPET STYLE: I look for dresses that fit really well—ones that I won't be tugging at all night. That's my No. 1 thing when I'm trying on stuff. That goes back to my desire to be comfortable. I also look for things that I'm not going to be embarrassed about five years from now.
FAVORITE DESIGNER: I love Diane von Furstenberg. I've loved her since I was a teenager. She's classic, easy.
DECOR DIVA: I collect chandeliers. I collect pillows. I collect little Buddhas. I collect little crystal bottles that have stones on them, like amethysts. I'm all into the home stuff. I literally would move into restoration hardware if I could. I love the discount websites, too, like One Kings Lane. Gilt Groupe Home always has good stuff. I love online shopping! You can also go all up and down 3rd street and Beverly [in L.A.] and find great shops with awesome stuff.
SEAHORSE SURPRISE: This is going to sound a little silly. I was told by a psychic a few weeks ago that my spirit guide was a seahorse. Then, I was in this vintage store here in La Brea. They had these two little chairs from 1908 that are falling apart, but they're so cute. They're like these little, almost like cigar room chairs and they're black leather and they're all beat up. On the back of the chair, it had two seahorses back-to-back printed on it and there was a pair of the chairs and I was like, "Done!" That's probably my favorite item I recently purchased.
SKINCARE REGIMEN: I love Bobbi Brown lip gloss. I've been using a lot of that. I love face products more than I do makeup really. I think if you take really good care of your skin, any makeup you use is going to be OK. I love the Sonya Dakar enzyme peel. I use that all time. I try to do my work and the prep work versus the actual makeup.
MOTHER KNOWS BEST: My mom told me to wash my face every night before bed. That's the best advice. I love a hot towel, but sometimes I'm too lazy. I love Dermalogica's basic face wash because it removes all your makeup.
ON HER SISTER'S PREGNANCY STYLE: She's done such a great job with dressing for her [growing belly]. We joke that if she were to hold a menu in front of her at a restaurant, no one would know she was pregnant! She's doing so good. She's had no morning sickness. It's really doing great things for her.

Jennifer Lawrence Wears Prada to Announce 2012 Oscar Nominations | yohana

Jennifer Lawrence
All eyes (and eyelets!) were on Jennifer Lawrence this morning as she helped Academy president Tom Sherak announce the much-anticipated 2012 Oscar nominations.
The Hunger Games star flaunted a modest Prada eyelet ensemble for her latest role, but her mix of colors made the look completely fashion-forward. She wore a lemon-and-sky blue sleeveless top to brighten up her Katniss brown locks, and a black pencil skirt to define her womanly figure. Minimal jewelry and classic Brian Atwood black pumps finished off the stylish, event-appropriate outfit. Between this and the fantastically daring black mesh-and-cobalt satin Viktor & Rolf frock that she wore to the PCAs earlier this month, we're preparing ourselves for a doozy from Jen when Hollywood's biggest night rolls around!

Elizabeth Banks Goes For Gold In Spiked Louboutins | yohana

Elizabeth Banks
All that glitters is gold—and apparently spiky. Elizabeth Banks has been on a fashion roll while promoting Man on a Ledge, going from a warrior-esque Versace frock in New York City to a head-to-toe gilded look for the flick's Los Angeles premiere.
Looking like an Oscar statue herself, The Hunger Games star showed off her gams in a sequined Emilio Pucci mini. Even though the short-sleeve number was amazing on its own, it nearly got upstaged by a pair of metallic Christian Louboutin sandals.

The t-strap heels featured spikes up the front that perfeclty complemented the embellished pattern of her frock, and we love that the blond babe didn't take the easy way out by pairing them with an LBD. Instead, she dared to go bold in gold-on-gold instead, a risk that definitely paid off.
We're pretty sure those shoes could also poke an eye out or be used as weapon if necessary, but either way, they are the very definition of killer heels.

How to Recreate Red Carpet Hairstyles? | yohana

Charlize Theron
I think we can all agree Charlize Theron is a goddess among mere mortals, and obviously that includes her blond crowing glory, too. Did you see her amazing coif for the Golden Globes? Girl is on fire in the hair department, and awards season has barely begun! We hate to complain, but why can't we all have a personal hairstylist on speed dial? It's just not fair! To ease the pain, we went ahead and got hairstylist-to-the-stars Tray Wilcox to break down the French braided bun into a few easy steps you can recreate at home.
First things first, you know how to French braid right? We were hoping this wasn't amateur hour, but just in case you need to brush up on your basics, this video is a godsend.
Now that you're in the know, "Begin by creating a deep side-part on the right side of your head. Starting with the hair to the right side your part, use a comb to mark off a rectangular section of hair that wraps around to the back of your head and ends right behind your left ear," says Wilcox.
Once you have it sectioned out, put the hair that will not be French braided (the hair to the left of your part) into an elastic. Now you're ready to start braiding! "Beginning at the front of your head, start to braid with the loose hair to the right of your part," instructs the stylist. "Continue braiding around the side of your head until you end behind your left ear." Make sure to tie an elastic (we prefer the thin, clear kind) around the French braided section, so your hard work doesn't come unraveled.
"Next, untie the section of hair to the left of your part, and add it to the elastic that is holding your braid in place," coaches Wilcox. Just to make sure we're on the same page, you should have a single ponytail behind your left ear with the French braid wrapping around the right side of your head. You got it? Good, because that was the hard part!
Now, take your ponytail and simply braid it down to the ends, and secure with another elastic. Then, wrap the braid in a circular motion around itself to create your braided side bun, and secure with yet another elastic. This type of braided bun is totally having a moment. Just check out all the celebs that love the style!
At this point you're nearly done. "Finish off the look by pulling out a few wisps of hair in the front on the opposite side of the braid to soften the style," advises the mane guru. You can use a curling iron to add a slight bend to the face-framing pieces. After that, hairspray it to within an inch of it's life, and you're ready to hit the party with your red carpet-worthy 'do!
