Silvery Blue Eyeliner Fashions And Mode

"I was super-inspired by the mermaid blue shade of JamieLynn Sigler's gown, and the way it looked against her skintone," said the star's makeup artist Tina Turnbow. Using a silvery denim-hued liner on the inner rim of the bottom lashes and a smudgy, indigo shade on the top lashline, Turnbow played with a pearlescent blue palette on the eyes. She topped them off by blending taupe and navy shadows along the lid and finishing with tons of lengthening mascara

Clean Skin Fashions And Mode

When opting for a minimal makeup look, there’s no room for caked-on foundation. We loved Olivia Wilde’s take on the idea at the ACE Awards in New York City. The star’s dewy finish had no trace of heavy concealer, and the generous swipe of peach blush acted as the focal point. Before applying foundation, her makeup artist Gianpaolo Ceciliato gave Wilde a mini-face massage to stimulate the blood vessels in her skin, and impart a natural flush. “I start by prepping the skin with moisturizer and a good massage—the massage is my primer,” he said. Rather than reaching for the bronzer, Ceciliato blended different shades of foundation over the star’s face to impart a subtle contour. “I always use two foundations: The lighter one under the eyes, on the center of the forehead, and on the chin. The darker shade is placed around the hairline, on the jaw, neck, and cheek, then I blend everything together.” A light dusting of shimmer powder over the high points of Wilde’s face and a sweep of apricot blush finished the look.

All Over Highlights Fashions And Mode

When we think highlights, most of us picture thin ribbons of color throughout the hair. But take Jennifer Aniston's look at the Just Go With It premiere in New York City. She doesn't have a single process hue, and she doesn't have basic highlights. Instead, the star opts for a few different shades—honey, pale blond and caramel—woven throughout the entire head. Ask your colorist for a similarly nuanced treatment; because the color isn't uniform, you can also get away with longer time between appointments

Petal Pink Cheeks Fashions And Mode

Rather than layering on pounds of makeup for the Date Night premiere in New York City, Katrina Bowden went the natural route: Flawless skin, minimal eyes, and a delicate burst of color on her cheeks. Peach-based shades will give you a sun-kissed glow, but a faint pink shade can have just as much impact. Keep your face bare and swirl a peony hue on the apples of your cheeks. A swipe of clear balm on the lips will keep the look from feeling too plain.

Tousled Side Bun Fashion And Mode

Kate Beckinsale certainly brought on the glamour at last night’s Golden Globe Awards, and we loved how her undone chignon gave her ornate Zuhair Murad gown an effortless vibe. “With her wholesome, English rose good looks, Kate can get away with quite a bit of edginess,” said her hairstylist Sascha Breuer, who used Moroccanoil products to create the updo. “We went with a punk-inspired diva look that’s a bit different from her usual soft, flowing waves.” A solid foundation is key to making a great hairstyle last all night, so to start, Breuer added a root-lifting spray to Beckinsale’s damp strands to reate lift and volume before blow-drying her hair with a skeleton brush. “Use your fingers to create texture and additional volume,” he added. “Once hair is fully dry, separate into a horseshoe-shaped section between both temples and your crown, and clip the top area away.” Breuer then swept the bottom portion into a low side-pony at the nape of the star’s neck, and after securing with an elastic band, he wound the length into a messy bun. “Tug a few strands out to create naturally-falling bits, and to loosen the bun,” said Breuer. Careful backcombing with a bristle brush added more volume at Beckinsale’s crown, and after securing the top area with bobby pins, a final mist of hairspray kept the look in place

the Perfect Cut for Your Face Shape

The perfect haircut is more than just a few snips! Before booking a salon appointment, determine your face shape so you'll know exactly what to ask for. You can do this at home by breaking out a ruler and measuring the widths of your brow, cheekbones and jawline, and the length of your face from forehead to chin. If you have an oval face like Ashley Greene, the widths of your brow, cheekbones and jaw are almost equal, but if yours is round like Charlize Theron's, your face is nearly as wide as it is long, with your forehead and jaw curving at the corners. People with heart-shaped faces like Halle Berry have a wide brow and narrow jaw, but if the length and width of your face is equal, you have a square face like Olivia Wilde. We put together a list of our favorite hairstyles every shape—click through to get inspired!http://fashionsandmode.blogspot.com/

Kerry Washington Steals the Show at the SAG Awards

Crop tops may be dominating the runways lately, but leave it to a 6-months pregnant Kerry Washington to transform the trend into a show-stopping maternity piece. At last night’s 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Scandal  star stepped foot onto the red carpet in a midriff-baring two-piece – and instantly captivated us all.

Washington proudly showed off her bump in a custom Prada ensemble with a pink beaded crop top paired with a full skirt, completing the look with Harry Winston diamond earrings, a matching cocktail ring, and a pair of Christian Louboutin black satin and lace pointed-toe pumps. The outfit showed just a sliver of skin, and was a unique take on the concept of red carpet pregnancy style.

“It’s different and fun,” Washington told InStyle.com at a pre-SAG Awards party in regards to dressing her bump. When choosing a red carpet gown these days, first and foremost Washington goes for “comfort,” but that’s not the only priority for the style maven. “For me, I just always have to love it. I have to put it on and love it.”

Her midriff-baring outfit serves as a major style moment for the star, who just last week wore a more refined and elegant look at the Golden Globes in a custom peplum-like Balenciaga dress.

When she’s not turning heads at awards shows, she’s adjusting her style for her costume designs on Scandal, as well. “On the show, it’s been really fun,” she told us. “[Costume Designer] Lyn Paolo and I really have been working hard to keep the fashion very elevated but also make room for this little human.”

Washington has proved throughout her pregnancy that a baby bump is the best accessory on the red carpet, so we’re loving that she wanted to show it off.

Lupita Nyong’o, Matthew McConaughey, to Cate Blanchett, See Who Won At the 2014 SAG Awards

The 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards sure packed in a lot of surprises in just two hours! The 20th annual awards ceremony not only featured our favorite stars—Kerry Washington, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lawrence, and more—but awarded the Actor statuette to some of Hollywood’s biggest players—including Cate Blanchett (Best Actress), newcomer Lupita Nyong’o (Best Supporting Actress), Matthew McConaughey (Best Actor), Jared Leto (Best Supporting Actor), and the cast of American Hustle (Outstanding Performance by a Cast).

Not only was it a big night for film, but it was also a great one for television, where Julia Louis-Dreyfus took home the Best Actress in a TV Series Comedy (Veep), Michael Douglas received the Best Actor in a TV Movie award (Behind the Candelabra), while Breaking Bad ended their run with a bang as Bryan Cranston won Best Actor and the cast was awarded Best Ensemble in a TV Drama Series. To see who else took home the prestigious, not to mention heavy Actor statuette, visit people.com for the full list of winners.

SAG Awards Makeup Came Together

The SAG Awards were a big night for Lupita Nyong’o — the up-and-coming star (and our style muse) took home honors for best female in a supporting role for her work in 12 Years a Slave, and looked stunning as ever while accepting the award. To complement her bold Gucci number, her makeup artist Nick Barose decided against the minimalist route for a bright, butterfly-inspired eye and a sheer pink lip. “There’s the rule about using brights on only your eye or lip, never both, but I don’t think that’s true because some people can carry strong color well, and Lupita is someone who can pull it off,” he told InStyle.com. “We go in there with an open mind, and she loves experimenting, so it’s a good collaboration. Besides, when you experiment, you can come up with a signature look!”

Barose took us behind the scenes to give us a sneak peek at how he and Nyong’O prepped for the big event, and no surprise to us, fun was had by everyone involved. “We were listening to BeyoncĂ©, Destiny’s Child, India.Arie, Rihanna — just tons of feel-good music to get us prepared,” he told us. “We were all singing along to the lyrics, and it was really fun.” Sounds like the perfect start to an eventful night!

SAG Awards Through Instagram

In case you missed it, the 20th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards  aired last night, and social media platforms were abuzz throughout the event as actors honored their peers—especially Instagram! Celebrities took to the photo-sharing site to document the special night starting on the red carpet and continuing through the show. From funny lady Mindy Kaling showing off her dress, to Sarah Hyland‘s pretty mani to Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s Modern Family cast photo, relive some of the night’s best moments through the lenses of Hollywood’s smartphones by clicking through the gallery now.

Visit them online at burns1876.com and check out the Nile crocodile boots.  Dreamy.

Ashlee Simpson & Evan Ross Have A Romantical

Shortly after getting engaged in paradise, Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross were back to their El Lay life.

And they were still every bit as in love!

Jessica Simpson’s little sister was spotted with her fiance on Saturday, leaving a restaurant together.

Luckily for us, Ash carried her jacket perfectly so that we could get another glimpse of her stunning engagement ring.

We still can’t believe Evan helped design it! So sweet!

Hopefully their love for each other will only continue to grow daily!
