Maria Lucia Hohan Showdown: Ashley Tisdale Steals BFF Vanessa Hudgens' Thunder | Hollywood yohana

Vanessa Hudgens & Ashley Tisdale

We firmly stand by the very Mean Girls notion that BFFs do everything together. Why? Because it's true—and we've been there.
Also, it provides a really good explanation for why Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens wore nearly identical Maria Lucia Hohan gowns in the same month.

We love the concept behind the cut—the illusion panels give the appearance that the bodice is holding itself up, but the sweetheart neckline, banded waistline and chiffon skirt scream elegant femininity.
It's interesting that the former HSM stars picked the similar silhouette, as Ashley has a rockstar-esque style while Vanessa is the epitome of boho. That explains why Ash opted for a bold red, one-shoulder take of the silk mousseline gown for the 20th Annual Elton John Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party in West Hollywood. The blonde actress paired it with an Arunashi ring and silver clutch, then completed her look with a low bun and her signature kohl-rimmed eyes.
Just three weeks earlier, Vanessa chose a strapless yellow version of the frock to make a bright statement at the Los Angeles premiere of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. Her accessories even had a Midas touch—the metallic roll clutch, Le Vian bangles, slim hoops and oversized cocktail rings all glistened in gold.
Though both looked fab, we're leaning towards Ash's romantic style. The fitted bodice and full skirt add curves to her slim frame, and the styling perfectly shows off the interesting dress. But no worries, V—there are no losers here!

Marcia Gay Harden | Hollywood yohana

Marcia Gay Harden

The movie star gave us a peek at her personal style during the Kari Feinstein Oscars Style Lounge at the Mondrian in West Hollywood. She walked away with lots of fabulous jewelry from Devora Libin Jewels, Silpada and GLITTERRINGS well as kitchen must-haves from The Pampered Chef and teeth whitening Rembrandt products.
WHAT SHE'S STYLIN': I am wearing clothes from my closet. This top is from Desque, which is a Spanish company. The boots are Dana. I love their stuff! They're simple. The jeans are some old skinny jeans of mine.
FASHION PHILOSOPHY: Between classic and boho. I always wear dark colors. The less seriously I take the red carpet, the more playful I can be with my outfits. When I was just starting out, I took it very seriously. Everything had to be perfect. Now, I ask myself, "When would I every have the chance to wear this again except for a grand red carpet?" Then, I wear it. It's really a day to have fun.
FAVORITE MANTRA: Style helps define an exterior character. Your smile helps to define your interior character. When the two meet in a good way, it's fantastic!

STYLE ICONS: For me, it's all about actresses who I think are fantastic, such as Vanessa Redgrave and Jessica Chastain. It is always fun to see people who push fashion like Chloë Sevigny. I like it when people have fun with fashion. I don't like it when people take it too seriously.
MOVIE WARDROBE MAGIC: I like the clothes in '40s movies. All those old movies are absolutely gorgeous.
BEAUTY FIX: I really like a nude lip. I also love bath products. I love eucalyptus and relaxing, soothing lavender.

Which Diva Won't Let Go of the '90s? | Hollywood yohana

Double demin. It used to only look good on Saved by the Bell kids, but, now, modern fashionistas have repurposed it and made it acceptable to wear outside of '90s frat parties. Despite this lackluster revival, it's a very difficult style move to pull off. Our DUI offender, here, did adhere to the first rule of sporting double demin, which is to make sure they're at least contrasting shades. With the blue jean button-down and the spiked-and-faded high-waisted shorts, she wisely followed the fashion playbook. But then she decided to beat to death punch up the look by wrapping another denim button-down around her waist. That's right people, triple denim. This is definitely one of those fashion moments where you look and, then, quickly turn away. If double denim is edgy, then triple denim is falling off the edge into a style wasteland. The addition of the thigh-high leather boots and the trucker hat bewildered us even further.

Giuliana Gets Leggy With It In a Hot Pink Shift Dress | Hollywood yohana

Giuliana Rancic
ASOS Shift Dress with Embellished Trim

Giuliana Rancic loves to wear stunning, high-neck designer gowns to major awards shows. In fact, she made our best dressed list for the Globes, SAGs and Oscars. But when it comes to the Grammys, girlfriend goes for the sexy minis. And, frankly, she's got the legs for them! G is 5'8" tall—that's without her signature super duper high heels!
On the eve of music's biggest night, G attended the MusiCares event honoring Paul McCartney in L.A. wearing a hot pink Nha Khanh shift. The dress wasn't tight by any means, and it featured long blouson sleeves. But the look-at-me color and short hemline made the number really sexy and appropriate for a Grammys-related event.
