Mesh Cutout Dresses | Hollywood yohana

Jennifer Lawrence
LeAnn Rimes, Brooklyn Decker

While ladylike frocks have been all the rage as of late, sometimes a gal wants to look (and feel) a little edgy. So, what have celebs been wearing to conjure up their inner bad girl? Frocks with mesh cutouts, of course. This design seems to be like the perfect middle ground, since it shows off a dose of the skin, but does not reveal too much.
It girl Jennifer Lawrence was the first to wear a dress with this risqué design. She rocked a blue Viktor & Rolf number that had swirl detailing to the People's Choice Awards back in January. She finalized the look with black peep-toe pumps, smoky eyes and an updo.
Just last week, Brooklyn Decker flaunted her mile-high gams in a black-and-white Stella McCartney racer-back frock to the Battleship photo call in London. Since this mesh cut-out dress was already a statement maker on its own, the model didn't need to over do it when it came to accessorizing—she simply opted for a pair of black criss-cross pointy heels and a messy updo.
This past weekend, LeAnn Rimes got in on the action and rocked the one-shouldered, red version of Brooklyn's dress to the Academy of Country Music Awards. She styled it with drop earrings, large rings, complementary Art Deco clutch, nude strappy Christian Louboutin platforms and a top knot.

While we think all the ladies look fab, we are still hesitant on the trend. Needless to say, if you have the guts to wear this, make sure to go easy on the accessories.

Rihanna Werks It in the Pajamas Trend! | Hollywood yohana

Rihanna
Diane Kruger; Salma Hayek; Tilda Swinton

We've been on the fence about the pajamas trend; leaning toward a big, fat "heck to the naw," actually. But now that fashion goddess Rihanna has given the look her blessing, we just have to give it some serious consideration! The girl can pull off almost anything. With her newly jet-black mane flowing to one side and making her look more beautiful (we're not jealous!), the Bajan babe attended the Japan premiere of her movie Battleship wearing a blue-and-gold Emilio Pucci ensemble. She styled it so effortlessly with delicate gold jewelry and barely-there nude strappy heels.

GCB's Lauran Irion | Hollywood yohana

Lauran Irion

The GCB star gave us a peek at her personal style at GBK, Bop and Tiger Beat's Celebrity Gift Lounge in honor of the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards. She took home lots of great beauty items and fun products, including RevitaLash eyelash conditioner, imPRESS Press-On Manicure, Coby Electronics earphones and MGA Entertainment dolls.

GCB GIRL: My character Laura starts off as a really good kid. She's a beachy girl from Santa Barbara who gets thrown into this crazy world where there are cosmetics everywhere and everyone's all about beauty, so she has to step it up. You see her grow throughout the season. It's fun to play her.

WHAT SHE'S STYLIN': Free People. I'm really into them right now. I love these lace pants—nice and breezy!

STYLE PHILOSOPHY: Right now, I'm into the hippie vibe. I go ga-ga over anything lace. I like the folksy thing with a little rocker [thrown in], but comfortable.

CURRENT SWOON: I love headbands and statement jewelry, especially rings.

FAVE ACCESSORY: I have one necklace that was handmade by a woman in Burbank who incorporates art into jewelry. My necklace has a key from an old school rollerskate, and it's one of my favorite things of all time. She had one with a baby rollerskate on it, but I didn't buy it because I thought I would hit people in the face by accident with it!

SUMMER STYLE: High-waisted shorts and crazy studded denim are really in. I'm excited for that this summer! I'll pair them with a lacy top and long necklaces.

BEAUTY REGIMEN: I love exfoliating and scrubbing my face. It's about just being clean. Girls love to pile on the makeup, but that builds up! I love Dermalogica's scrubs and moisturizers.

MAKEUP MUST-HAVE: I like Pop Beauty's Cat Eyes Eye Crayon. It gives you that angel wing without having to look in the mirror and measure it out. It's angled perfectly, so it's really easy to put on.
LIP TIP: Brush your lips with a toothbrush! It exfoliates them, and you get a really nice color. It's spring, but I really like the darker lip color that's been going on. I've been playing with lipsticks a lot lately, especially reds and a little bit of brown, too. Tarte's lip stains are really awesome.

Paulina Rubio Gives a Lesson in Edgy Spring Style | Hollywood yohana

Paulina Rubio

Achieving a soft and girly style while infusing a bold, edgy vibe is one fun way to stand out this spring! From toughening up florals with dark leathers to infusing lacy confections with distressed denim, finding the balance between feminine and fierce is a look that many stylistas will work this season. For inspiration on how to straddle the two styles, one only has to look to Latin goddess Paulina Rubio.

This chic celeb never disappoints when injecting funky pieces into her ensemble, and the outfit she pulled together during a photo call in Mexico City earned a definite fashion nod from us. Never one to shy away from eclectic pairings, Paulina teamed a ruffled carnation pink minidress with leopard print platform pumps. She then hopped on the daring red-and-pink trend by adding on a maroon belt. Finally to add a masculine touch, she smartly layered with a grey vest and a gun metal statement necklace. Oversized shades and loose curls finished her ensemble. You also can have Paulina's look for less by buying this dress and belt and matching them to these killer pumps and vest.
Tune in to Telemundo on April 26th to see what the style icon sports at the Billboard Latin Music Awards!

Lauren Conrad Charms in Floral-Print Lela Rose Frock | Hollywood yohana

Lauren Conrad

Remember the blonde flip-flop-wearing girl from MTV's Laguna Beach? Who would have thought then that Lauren Conrad would turn into quite the fashionista!
Now, L.C.'s style still evokes the easy breezy feel of SoCal, but she has managed to step up her game by sporting more sophisticated fashions.

Last night, the reality star attended the book signing of her newest novel The Fame Game at a Barnes & Noble in NYC, and she looked oh-so-chic. She teamed a baby blue Lela Rose flower-print mini with nude leg-lengthening Casadei pumps. A single gold Anita Ko bracelet and low bun provided the finishing touches.

Even though this mini mogul has been busy promoting her book, running her beauty website and designing for her Paper Crown line, she still made time to be Glamour magazine's May cover girl.

Say Aloha To Tropical-Print Fashions | Hollywood yohana

Fergie, Beyonce, Kate Mara

TREND: Tropical prints
WHO'S WEARING IT: Fergie (Givenchy),  Beyoncé (Stella McCartney) and Kate Mara (Salvatore Ferragamo)

WHY WE LOVE IT: The fashion brings to mind a Hawaiian vacay!

HOW TO WEAR IT: Since the tropical-print pieces already have a lot going on, juxtapose the elaborate pattern solid colors. If you choose to wear bright bottoms à la Beyonce, simply team them with a hue that is present on the trousers. The singer opted for a black button-down, but a pink or blue top would have worked just as well. When wearing a printed dress, coordinate it with a bright clutch and nude heels or vice versa!

Shop Her Style: Alyson Hannigan Bumps Up Ombré to the Max! | Hollywood yohana

Alyson Hannigan

Spring is in full swing, so we aren't surprised that a bevy of celebs have been sporting bright fashions. Even though Alyson Hannigan is preggers, she still remains very much on-trend. While the actress was out and about in NYC today, she sported an of-the-moment maternity staple—an ombré maxi! We love how the dress goes from a nice sea-foam green hue and makes its way to a periwinkle blue.

She teamed the colorful number with a blue denim jacket and a black cross-body, which made her look feel that much more causal. A slew of gold bracelets and metallic flats provided just the right amount of sparkle to her look. Since we loved her ensembles oh-so-very-much we decided to recreate the outfit for a fraction of the price.

Round and Round We Go! Circle Sunnies Make a Comeback | Hollywood yohana

What goes around comes back around—literally, if you're talking circle sunnies! The fashion world's fiercest (ahem, Rihanna and Beyoncé) have been rocking them lately. Of course, the hot shades were made popular by John Lennon in the '70s. "Anything that is retro or vintage-inspired is truly in and hot right now," Solstice Sunglass Boutique eyewear expert Eden Wexler told me of the spherical specs explosion. But the once flimsy frames have gotten a couture upgrade! From keyhole nose details and leather side panels to lucite and bright colors, the variety of options available have been kicking my sunglasses obsession into overdrive. I gotta have 'em.
Thankfully, it's pay day today! Click in to see my absolute favorites. But first, here's what Wexler had to say about choosing the perfect pair of round sunglasses for you:

A circle fits better in a square. "Anyone can pull them off as long as you don't have a round face shape," she explained. "If your chin is very rounded and your cheeks are round, you are just adding more roundness, which will make your face appear heavier." She continued: "The whole goal with sunglasses is to do the opposite in order to create balance. Otherwise, you're just recreating a face shape and not creating the balance that you need."
Complement the size of your face. While celebrities can pull off more over-the-top looks, Wexler advises the average consumer to pick a pair that's in sync with their face. "Stars like Beyoncé have larger facial features, which makes them extra beautiful because they can wear anything," she said. "As long as you tone down the round shades with something that is not completely oversized and edging off the side of your face, you should be fine."

Which Blond Bombshell Makes Us See Through Her Dress? | Hollywood yohana

DUI

No one can go wrong wearing a black lace dress. That is, until they decide to wear it without the slip, and expose one too many undergarments. We. Don't. Get. It. Doesn't the model-turned-actress know that many celebs have given this look a go, and the results haven't been very pretty. Seriously, we can name them off the top of our heads: Britney Spears at the 2001 VMAS, Lady Gaga (more times than we can count!), and Fergie just this year at the Grammys—albeit in an orange hue! C'mon, hon, you may have a rockin' bod, but you do it no justice by sporting fugly duds!

Lady Gaga Teams Up Three Trendy Fashions—and it Works! | Hollywood yohana

Lady Gaga

With Lady Gaga you never know what to expect. One day she is sporting questionable skin-revealing outfits, and the next it's a prim and proper ensemble. Well, when she was out in about in NYC earlier last month, she opted for the latter.

While the navy peplum coat, black maxi and round sunnies combo isn't something you'd think to team up, she definitely made it work quite well. After all, isn't that how Lady Gaga has become known world-wide, for her costume-like outfits and out-of-the-box approach to fashion?!

Similarly, she isn't your conventional singer. She pushes boundaries and has been nominated in the past for things such as "Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year" at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. Her fashion and music creative genius is out of this world—and we hope she keeps it going!
