Brighten Your Bling: Celebs Go for Color at the Met Gala | Hollywood yohana

Kristen Bell, Nicole Richie

 TREND: Colorful bling
WHO'S WEARING IT: Kristen Bell (H. Stern) and Nicole Richie (Harry Winston)
HOW TO WEAR IT: Diamonds are a girl's best friend, but sometimes it's fun to taste the rainbow. At the Costume Institute Gala, Nicole added sapphires to her silver sequins, while Kristen went for multicolor chain links. Try a crystal version of the trend to brighten up any neutral outfit.

Printed Mishap | Hollywood yohana

Kristen Bell, Mischa Barton, Marion Cotillard, Nikki Reed

We're all for prints: fruity, striped, retro, watercolor, floral and animal. But something about the patterns this week were a little off:
Kristen Bell's tribal dress looked a size too big, Mischa Barton ruined her maxi with a silly bow, dark lips and neon, Marion Cotillard's frock just wasn't flattering and Nikki Reed's colorful mini made her seem a little top heavy.

Create Ladylike Volume With a Pleated Skirt | Hollywood yohana

Kristen Bell, Eva Mendes, Drew Barrymore

 TREND: Pleated Skirts
WHO'S WEARING IT: Kristen Bell (Louis Vuitton), Eva Mendes (Azzaro), Drew Barrymore (Oscar de la Renta)
HOW TO WEAR IT: To get the full ladylike feel of this voluminous trend, look for skirts that fall either at the knee or just a few inches above. Too short and you might be mistaken for a schoolgirl—especially if you go with plaid! Instead, opt for a bright color or metallic, and remember to keep it fitted on top. Going to a summer barbecue? In a lightweight material, this breezy style will keep you cool all day long.

Teen Choice Awards: Who Was Your Best Dressed? | Hollywood yohana

Megan Fox, Selena Gomez, Kristen Bell, Ashley Greene, Lea Michele

Some of our favorite young fashionistas-to-watch dazzled in fabulous minis at yesterday's Teen Choice Awards. Megan Fox appropriately toned down her sex appeal for the teenage event in a blue-and-white printed top and silver lamé draped skirt from Isabel Marant. Selena Gomez resembled a gladiator princess in her white BCBG Maz Azria frock and nude Sergio Rossi warrior-like sandals. Kristen Bell was couture chic in an embroidered Stella McCartney strapless dress with red organza overlay and sandy stilettos. Ashley Greene looked romantic and ladylike in a floral blush, beige and black Valentino number. Lea Michele brought Jane from out of the jungle and into 2010 with her tropical-inspired Naeem Khan design and neutral chunky Christian Dior wedges.

Ginnifer Goodwin or Kristen Bell? | Hollywood yohana

Ginnifer Goodwin, Kristen Bell

Looks like Ginnifer Goodwin and Kristen Bell both have a thing for traditional dresses with a little red twist!
Ginnifer went for a more conservative approach back in March for the Genesis Awards. She wore a Valentino mini made from matronly lace, but it had a sweet ruffled neckline and sexy gathered waist.
Kristen looked fresh and chic in a Stella McCartney embroidered dress at the Teen Choice awards last month. We love how the organza overlay created an interesting peplum effect.
Both gals looked ladylike in red. But whose classy dress cost an obscene amount of money (nearly $4,000)?

Jessica Szohr or Kristen Bell? | Hollywod yohana

Jessica Szohr, Kristen Bell

In honor of Valentine's Day, we present a romantic pair of red, ruffly cocktail frocks.
Jessica Szohr attended the Piranha 3D premiere in L.A. back in August wearing a Notte by Marchesa bow dress. Her scallop-edged number was already nicely adorned, so she went with minimal jewelry and a metallic gold clutch. In December, Kristen Bell attended the Burlesque premiere in Tokyo dressed in an Azzaro stunner nearly identical to Jessica's. The only thing missing was a bow—and to make up for it, Kristen piled on the jewelry.

Who Broke the Bank? Kristen Bell or Alexis Bledel? | Hollywood yohana

Alexis Bledel, Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell and Alexis Bledel starred in teen TV dramas years ago, but they've blossomed in both career and style. Both actresses showed off their elegance in similar botanical-print dresses by Stella McCartney recently.
Alexis wore her loose-fitted frock to Us Weekly's Most Stylish New Yorkers Party in NYC last September. The Gilmore Girl star completed her hue-tastic look with canary yellow platform pumps and a cobalt blue clutch.
Three months later, former Veronica Mars star stepped out in her floral mini for the London premiere of her movie Burlesque. The blonde sauntered down the red carpet in deep purple Salvatore Ferragamo pumps, but kept her accessories to a minimum to let this waist-defining dress shout its statement.

Who Broke the Bank? Kristen Bell or Eliza Dushku? | Hollywood yohana

Kristen Bell, Eliza Dushku

Despite being known for their edgy TV roles, Kristen Bell and Eliza Dushku were both looking pretty and delicate in their similar strapless lace-paneled dresses.
At the Los Angeles premiere of You Again last September, the Veronica Mars star paired her Valentino white-and-yellow toned design with a skinny white belt, a studded nude clutch and peep-toed Brian Atwood heels.
Meanwhile, Eliza sported her lacy look to the latest Pirates of the Caribbean installment in Anaheim, Calif., this past May. The Buffy the Vampire badass went for a seductive style with a black-and-white Betsey Johnson frock, deep red pout, patterned tights and black pumps.

Kerry Washington Rocks Edgy Street Style for Spring| Hollywood yohana

Kerry Washington
As much as we love our fun florals and pretty pastels for spring, it's always nice to mix it up a bit by injecting a bad girl vibe. Kerry Washington seems to feel the same way we do by the looks of it! When she was spotted in the streets of New York City en route to a 106 & Park interview, she effortlessly werked a chic urban take on the usual spring ensemble.
Instead of wearing all soft hues, she opted to sport just one pastel layer: a high-neck yellow blouse. She then edged up the look by teaming it with a lust-worthy, pleated leather skirt that flaunted some toned gams .A coral clutch and bright pink lips added more funky pops of color, and then she finished the stylish look with understated black velvet pumps and a black, glittery manicure.
We couldn't get over Kerry's sexy spring look and will definitely be throwing in some tough gal pieces into our rotation this season!

Fashion Flashback: Kate Winslet's Titanic Fail at the 1998 Oscars | Hollywood yohana

Kate Winslet

Happy Titanic 3D weekend, everyone!
Ever since I found out that the epic movie was returning to theaters and in IMAX 3D, I've been counting down the days for it's release! C'mon, its the same amazing love story that made me want ("want" being the keyword, never actually did) to write a heartfelt poem about my beloved Leonardi DiCaprio and send it to [insert teeny bopper magazine name here]; make my entire family see it with me after seeing it with friends (that's right, I sat through the three-hour film twice!); and run out and get the two VHS casette tape box set (remember those?) the day it came out. Needless to say, I'll be catching a screening tonight.
I suggest you do, too. Everyone can use a good cry! (If you haven't watched it and didn't consider the possiblity that one of the two main characters in a movie about a sinking ship would wind up dead, I feel bad for you.)
Until then, you can click through our gallery below of Kate Winslet's fashion hits and misses over the years. It'll make you want to cry in the beginning, too. Can you believe she wore this to the 1998 Oscars? Granted, the dress is Alexander McQueen for Givenchy, but still. Guess she didn't want to let go...of the fashions from the period film.

Who Broke the Bank? Tia Mowry-Hardrict or Kim Kardashian? | Hollywood yohana

Tia Mowry, Kim Kardashian

A silk satin dress screams "sexy," but when you have the bodacious bods of Kim Kardashian and Tia Mowry-Hardrict, it gets even sexier. Both babes recently shined in silver slinky versions with feminine ruffle details.
New mama and our own Style star Tia took our breath away in an elegant floor-length Collette Dinnigan gown at the 2012 People's Choice Awards back in January. Her relaxed updo and smoky eye perfectly showed off her gorgeous diamond Tacori tassel statement earrings.
A couple days later, Kimmie sported her bombshell Lanvin number to a Cinema for Peace event in Beverly Hills. The asymmetric gown hugged Kanye West's rumoured girlfriend in all of the right places. The reality star draped her décolletage with diamonds and styled her long hair in retro waves. Dark silver peep-toes finished off the look.
Both ladies brought old Hollywood glamour back with their looks, but which one spent almost five grand to do it?

Brighten Up Your Spring Closet With a Yellow Frock | Hollywood yohana

Gabrielle Union, Elizabeth Banks, Nicole Richie

TREND: Yellow full-length dresses
WHO'S WEARING IT: Gabrielle Union (Bill Blass), Elizabeth Banks (Bill Bass) and Nicole Richie (Julien Macdonald)
WHY WE LOVE IT: Just slip on the dress and you'll have a guaranteed show-stopping look!

HOW TO WEAR IT: Since the yellow dresses are already so bright there is no need to over accessorize. You can never go wrong by teaming any dress with metallic accessories. However, with this stunner you can also go the monochromatic route. If you want to give your number a little more edge, then team it with eclectic gems like turquoise rings à la Nicole. Love the trend, but don't have an event to wear a full-length dress? Well, a jersey maxi dress will provide the same wow-factor, but it's super easy to wear for the everyday hustle and bustle.
