Chanel Has Found a New Muse in Lady Gaga | yohana

Lady Gaga
If only we could all live the life of Lady Gaga and get lavished with couture from the world's best fashion houses. Lady Gaga's bizarre style has made her an avant garde muse for fashion's largest visionaries including Gucci, Versace and Alexander McQueen. Lately however, she seems to have taken a fancy to Chanel.
We traced the start of the obsession back to November where Karl Lagerfeld - who seems to have warmed up to Mother Monster since first meeting her during the summer – custom designed a couture princess gown for her Gaga's Holiday Workshop in Barney's New York. We guess Gaga felt pretty special by the effort Karl put in since she later said when she died, she wanted to be cremated in the same gown.

The Chanel craze started afresh in recent weeks when she made appearances in two very different designs from the label. When arriving at Narita International Airport in Japan on Christmas Eve, she seemed to go for a samurai look wearing a black and white colorblock kimono sleeve cape from Chanel's 2012 collection. She finished the look with black tights, opera gloves, cat-eye sunglasses and a tight top knot.
Then on New Year's Eve, she went old school in a gold vintage Chanel suit embroidered with crystals. Gaga then topped off the look with vintage Chanel sunglasses and a Chanel bag.
