Would You Wear Dakota Fanning's Little Red Riding...Wrap? | Hollywood yohana
We've panned the "little red riding hood" look before. It wasn't cute when Sienna Miller channeled the fictional character for her outerwear choices, and it was slightly disturbing when Nicki Minaj showed up to the Grammys in her sinister, scarlet getup. (She had us hoping the big, bad wolf would show up and shred that outfit.) But when we saw Dakota Fanning arrive to Cosmopolitan's Fun Fearless Awards in NYC with a Little Red Riding Hood-inspired wrap draped on her shoulders, we took pause.
Here, we finally saw a version of the look that didn't repel us. It actually looked, dare we say it, very au courant. Probably because the crimson stole was just a small component of her overall ensemble, instead of dominating the look as in Nicki and Sienna's cases. And also because Dakota is actually a young, rosy-faced teen who slips more easily into the Red Riding Hood aesthetic. Whatever the reason, we like how she styled the wrap with the silver cutout sheath dress that were both from Miu Miu. The red stole stopped her from being washed out in her pearly frock and her glittery clutch added just the right touch of glam.
