In the fashion world, much is made about the so-called "pop of color." The idea: Wake up your neutral wardrobe with a mango-colored purse or an acid-green bangle or whatnot. We here at mystyle love to apply the pop-o-hue tenet in the form of a floral scarf (not that you asked). In theory, the color pop to the left should serve as a passable example of this approach; the clothes are black, the tights are bright pink. And yet, it doesn't. Somewhere between "Let's wear the black dress" and "Oooh, candy tights," something fell through. Maybe it's the unerring blackness of the rest of the outfit or maybe it's the length of the skirt or the way the Mary Janes are turning her leggies into pink Hostess Sno Balls. We're not sure, but must we know everything?
