The young actress has been the darling of this awards season thanks to her turn in The Descendants, but her entrance at the 2012 Academy Awards proves that she's still got a lot of growing up to do.
Ms. Woodley has been ricocheting between hits and misses lately, and unforunately she steered towards the latter with this turn in a Valentino Couture dress that was far too old for her years. Between the off-white hue, long sleeves and grid cut-out bodice, we can't figure out what Shailene was thinking. If we were 20 and invited to the Oscars, we wouldn't want to turn up in a dress fit for a princess—who lived during the Elizabethan era.
Also, are those mini puff balls on the dress? Oy vey.
Shailene, you're gorgeous. You've got a body to die for. Stylists all across Hollywood want to dress you. So, we beg you, stop turning up to red carpet events in dresses grandmothers would swoon over. It's not often that we wish celebrities would show more skin, but please, flash a little leg.
