Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga for M.A.C, Marc Jacobs sues Ed Hardy, and Lancôme hires a YouTube star | Hollywood yohana

Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper are the next faces of M.A.C’s Viva Glam. “People think if you’re strong about your sexuality, you must have a d–k,” Gaga told WWD. “And that’s what this is about. You can be strong about your sexuality and be a smart woman who wears lipstick and high heels and looks pretty.”
Marc Jacobs is suing Christian Audigier’s line Ed Hardy for allegedly knocking off one of his handbags. Jacobs’ legal reps state that any infringement “has been intentional and wil[l]ful, calculated specifically to trade off the goodwill that plaintiffs have developed in their successful Marc Jacobs Pretty Nylon tote bags.”
Leslie Mann is the latest celeb to pose for Scott Sternberg‘s Band of Outsiders. Appearing in the label’s Band and Boy’s Spring lookbook, Mann was chosen because “[Sternberg] thought it would be kind of hilarious to pair a cougar with two younger dudes and see what kind of story would come out of it.” Is that a compliment? It’s one thing to think it, quite another to say it out loud.
Lancôme is bringing YouTube star Michelle Phan on board as the brand’s official video makeup artist. Phan, whose channel of DIY makeup tutorials boasts over 100 million hits, will reportedly be producing video’s using the beauty company’s products.
Diane von Furstenberg has announced her latest initiative, the DVF Awards, honouring four women for their humanitarian efforts. Each winner will get $50,000 and a prize presented to them at an annual ceremony at the United Nations.
MTV is grounding the Jersey Shore cast for their own good. Or, for MTV’s own good. The production company is worried that the cast is over-exposing themselves (read: we’re already getting bored of the gym-tan-laundry routine), which could hurt Season 2, and has limited the cast to two appearances a week. Won’t anyone think of Fashion Week?!? [Racked]
Anna Wintour reportedly told model Maggie Rizer to go back to being a redhead and Rizer is apparently already headed to a colourist. Rizer likes her a natural blonde hair, but when Wintour says red, you jump, evidently.
Lindsay Lohan is, ummm…gracing (?) the latest cover of Purple Magazine, posing with her arms extended in the shape of a cross and wearing a crown of thorns. Undoubtedly the Jesus-inspired look will have some people up in arms, but others will certainly have something to say about the artistic director of Ungaro wearing a Zac Posen gown.
