Get Schooled on Lauren Moffatt & OPI's Orange Nails | Hollywood yohana
Orange you glad bold colors are here to stay? Pantone named tangerine the color of the year, so it was only fitting that OPI kicked off New York Fashion Week with orange nails for Lauren Moffatt's Fall 2012 show.
The designer cheekily sent her models back to class, showing her '70s-inspired collection against backdrops of blackboards and easels. Amongst a palette of navy blue, cream and harvest gold hues, OPI's bright new shade "A Good Man-darin Is Hard to Find" stood out against the retro silhouettes.
Lauren's collection was the first to show orange off at Fashion Week, but it likely won't be the last—it's expected to be a huge trend for nails this year. Want to try the look yourself? Be sure to keep nails short and squoval (that's square and oval, natch), just like the OPI manicurists did to give the perfect pop of color.
