Badgley Mischka Wants the Red Carpet to Shimmer in the Fall | Hollywood yohana

Color is a big trend at NYFW. But while most runways opted for colorblocking (BCBGMAXAZRIA and Diane von Furstenberg), prints (Mara Hoffman and Carolina Herrera) or neon (Juan Carlos Obando), evening wear gods Mark Badgley and James Mischka chose sophistication over shock value and showed lots of metallics and jewel tones.
If it wasn't an emerald, sapphire or gold dress, it was a champagne gown with heavy embellishments, an elegant black design with glittering statement necklace or shimmery pant ensemble. While there were some corset styles, the class act duo also mainly highlighted skin through shoulder cutouts, dramatic open backs, and sheer panels.
It only makes sense that Kelly Osbourne and Joan Rivers, who critique celebrities on the red carpet for their E! show Fashion Police,
would be among those in the front row to watch the glamourous catwalk. What did they think?

Kelly Osbourne, Shay Mitchell

The rock princess, who mingled with Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell, tweeted this message after the show: "Just had the best time with @Joan_Rivers @BadgleyMischka show! It was simply gorgeous!" Her tough critic cohost (not pictured) was more vague. "New York Fashion Week-such fun! Just had a great time with @MissKellyO and @BadgleyMischka at this morning's show!" she said.

It looks like Kels was tipped off to the theme of the show, as she showed up wearing a sweet metallic, knee-length number...and then of course there's her silver locks.
Her pose off partner, Shay, tweeted a pic of the left look above and called the presentation "stunning." The brunette actress wore a ladylike beige peplum frock to the show.
